A social conversation tool to help adults make friends
It’s harder than ever to make friends as an adult. In addition to the time-limiting obligations that come with adulthood, adults today are faced with an additional barrier. The prevalence of digital communication has made it easier to exchange information, but it’s made it much harder to connect.
Preface is an in-person and tactile social conversation tool designed to help bridge the gap from acquaintance to friend. Though friendships can’t be forced, it does have to start somewhere. Inspired by the natural process of making a new friend, adults move beyond small-talk to form more meaningful relationships through prompted conversation and literal connection building. Preface gives adults an opportunity to go a little deeper, getting beneath the surface to where friendships can authentically begin.
